Update for Friday, January 24: We will be reopening the resort on Friday at 10:00am. Outlets will open at that time OR their normal operating hours if they fall after 10:00am.

Weather Forecast

  • The National Weather Service is forecasting below-freezing nighttime temperatures starting on Sunday night, continuing for several days, with wind chills expected to drop into the teens.
  • Freezing rain, sleet, ice, or snow showers are expected Monday evening through Tuesday.

Due to these winter weather conditions, we have implemented precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

Resort Operations

Due to the closing of main roads and other barriers that would prohibit team members from getting to work, we have made the following updates to resort operations, beginning Tuesday, January 21:

    • Boardwalks: All boardwalks will be closed for your safety.
    • Clubhouse: The Clubhouse and all associated amenities, including F&B services, the Spa, Coast Restaurant, indoor pool and activities, will be closed during this time. We will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. We will reopen on Friday at 10:00am.
    • The Village: The Village Hideaway, Creamery, and Mercantile will be closed during this time. We will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. We will reopen on Friday and Village amenities will open at their regularly scheduled times.
    • Front Desk: CLOSED Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. We will reopen on Friday at 10:00am.

Safety Precautions and Updates

  • Update Tuesday, Jan. 21 @ 5:00pm: We highly recommend that you stay INSIDE your units because the hallways, sidewalks, and common areas have become extremely SLIPPERY, ICY, and DANGEROUS due to the snow and ice. We advise avoiding these areas if possible until the temperature rises above freezing.
  • Update Tuesday, Jan. 21 @ 1:00pm: We are closing the storm shutters and locking all tower lobby automatic doors at south exit due to the back decks being extremely slippery.
  • Barricades: Barricades will be placed at the promenade and boardwalk entrances to prevent access, when conditions warrant. Please respect these safety measures.
  • Balconies: Balconies may become hazardous during winter weather. We strongly advise avoiding balcony use until conditions improve.
  • Outdoor Areas: De-icer will be applied to walkways and sand will be placed in areas prone to water accumulation. Please exercise caution when walking around the property.

Guest Communication

  • Updates: All updates regarding resort operations and weather conditions will be shared through text messages, lobby monitors, email, and through this page which is linked via a banner on the top of our website. Please check this page frequently as we will be updating this as weather changes.
  • Food preparation: There will be no food services available on-site during this period. We recommend stocking up on necessary food and beverages in advance.

Local Travel Advisory

  • Road Conditions: Due to the anticipation of road closures and other obstacles, we would advise guests not to travel.
